Fishing Report – Woody Point, Redcliffe

Moreton Bay Able Anglers conducted our regular fishing group at Woody Point Jetty this week, attended by 6 participants and 6 support workers, this session was a beautiful session.

The wind began as a nice breeze, their was some fear a storm would roll through, this didn't happen.

One thing we do find is just prior to a storm rolling through, the atmosphere pressure changes rapidly causing fish to go into a frenzy, this bringing on the bite and becoming erratic until suddenly, the feeding simply stops.

Allen's Awesome Catch At Woody Point, Redcliffe

Social Inclusion Activities Brisbane Northside Moreton Bay Redcliffe Scarborough Bribie IslandThis week we welcomed two new participants, Allen and Donna.  Allen our newest participant was a fine gentleman, not having caught fish for many years, Allen caught a decent size bream, literally within 5 minutes of having his rod in the water.

Pam was Allen's awesome support worker, she snapped a photo of Allen with his fish and he was released for another day.

Take a look at Allen's smile, he was so happy to catch a fish and show it off.  Sharing these moments with our participants is very heartfelt, knowing we are helping people enjoy life, become involved and participate in an environment that is not only safe but rewarding.

Thomas caught this fish with the assistance of his support worker Sarah.  The fish, like all fish we catch was part of our catch and release program ensuring fishability is sustained for the future.
